City of Gem Lake City Council meeting minutes June 19, 2018 Page 1 <br /> <br />City of Gem Lake <br /> City Council Meeting – June 19, 2018 <br />Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Uzpen called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Councilmembers Artig-Swomley, Cacioppo, Kuny and <br />Lindner were present. Others in attendance: Ron Bartosch, City Attorney Patrick Kelly, City Finance Director <br />Tom Kelly, Joshua Eckton, Honey Bear Meadery, Paul Emeott, Todd Hagen, Ehlers, George Jungmann, Chris <br />Knopik, Clifton Larson Allen, Dan Marier, Dennis Olson, Pete Oswald, Don and Sheila Waldoch. <br /> <br />June 19, 2018, Agenda <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, seconded by Councilmember Cacioppo to <br />approve the agenda for June 19, 2018, motion passed. Agenda approved. <br /> <br />Minutes <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Lindner, seconded by Councilmember Artig-Swomley to approve <br />the May 15, 2018, City Council minutes. Motion passed, minutes approved. <br /> <br />Committee Reports <br />None. <br /> <br />Newsletter <br />June/July, published mid to late June, Carol Nordstrom profile, update on the Villas, picture of the <br />playground equipment at Willow Lane School, auditors report, summary of police report and calls for <br />service, no solicitors sign, road construction update, policy on special events. <br /> <br />New Business <br /> <br />2017 Audit Presentation – CliftonLarsonAllen, Chris Knopik, presenter <br />Chris Knopik presented an overview of the City of Gem Lake 2017 audit. A motion was made by <br />Councilmember Lindner, seconded by Councilmember Artig-Swomley to accept the 2017 auditor’s <br />report for the City of Gem Lake, motion passes, audit accepted. <br /> <br />High Tech Auto- Conditional Use Permit – Revoke – Company has gone out of business <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Lindner, seconded by Councilmember Artig-Swomley to revoke <br />the CUP for High Tech Auto, due to the company going out of business. Motion passes, CUP revoked. <br /> <br />3660 Scheuneman Road – Discussion to Condemn Property <br />The property is currently vacant and has had on going blight conditions for a number of years. A motion <br />was made by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, seconded by Councilmember Kuny to give a notice of <br />corrective action and verify property titles. Motion passes, Corrective Action process to proceed <br />following Minnesota Statutes. <br /> <br />Liquor Ordinance <br />The current liquor ordinance needs to be updated. Liquor ordinance will be worked on by the Planning <br />Commission. <br /> <br /> <br />
