Minutes of Gem Lake City Council meeting, January 21, 2014 <br /> <br />Mayor Uzpen called the meeting to order at 7:01PM <br />Present: Mayor Uzpen, Council members Lindner, Artig-Swomley, and Bosak. Absent: Council member <br />Kuny. Also present were several attendees per attached sign-in sheet. <br /> <br />January agenda <br />Mayor Uzpen asked for additions to the amended January agenda. Upon hearing no new additions, <br />motion by Bosak seconded by Artig-Swomley to approve agenda, the council voted 4-0 to approve <br />tonight’s agenda. <br /> <br />December City Council minutes <br />Upon motion by Artig-Swomley and seconded by Bosak the council voted to approve December, 2013 <br />minutes with minor spelling corrections 4-0. <br /> <br />Old business <br />City newsletter for January, 2014. Potential topics included current events, 2013 accomplishments, and <br />outcomes from tonight’s meeting. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br />Mayor Uzpen gave a brief history of Four Season’s Auto from the time it received its Conditional Use <br />Permits (CUP) through several instances of violations to the CUP between 2010 and 2013. <br />Mayor Uzpen opened the hearing at 7:16PM <br /> <br />Giorgi Gochitashvili, owner, Vera Auto Sales, 1577 County Road E (business address) confirmed Mayor <br />Uzpen’s conversation with Dennis Newcomb and said Four Season’s Auto lease is month to month. He <br />recommended the city council do not revoke Four Season’s CUP because in his opinion Four Season’s <br />would be relocating in a few months. <br />Mayor Uzpen closed the public hearing at 7:18PM.
