General council discussion on Four Season’s Auto. Council member Bosak moved to table final decision <br />on Four Season’s Auto until February city council meeting. Seconded by Artig-Swomley. Upon a vote of <br />2-2 the motion did not carry. <br />Council member Bosak then moved to approve Resolution 2014-04 with the following amendment to <br />the effective date: “effective as of March 1, 2014.” Lindner seconded. Upon a vote of 4-0 the council <br />approved resolution 2014-04 with the effective date becoming March 1, 2014. <br />New business <br />Resolution 2014-01, 2014 city appointments motion by Lindner second by Artig-Swomley approved 4-0 <br />Resolution 2014-02 to appoint Benjamin Johnson to Gem Lake Planning Commission chair motion by <br />Lindner second by Artig-Swomley approved 4-0 <br />Resolution 2014-03 to approve the contract for Putman Planning and Design Development Study motion <br />by Artig-Swomley second by Bosak approved 4-0 <br />Gem Lake Hills golf course on-sale and Sunday liquor licenses renewal motion by Bosak second by <br />Lindner approved 4-0 <br />Country Lounge on-sale and Sunday liquor licenses, tobacco license, and charitable gambling license <br />renewals motion by Bosak second by Artig-Swomley approved 4-0 <br />Café Cravings on-sale and Sunday liquor licenses renewals motion by Bosak second by Lindner approved <br />4-0 <br />Mayor Uzpen spoke of Black Sea restaurant will apply for a beer license from Gem Lake and wine license <br />from State of Minnesota and will be a February city council agenda item if all paperwork is completed in <br />time. <br />January claims. Upon motion by Lindner and seconded by Bosak the council voted to approve the claims <br />for January 4-0. <br />The monthly financial statement was unavailable. <br /> <br />Presentations from the public <br />Dennis Newcomb of Four Season’s Auto disagrees that he was in violation of his CUP during his <br />conversation with Mayor Uzpen in December, 2013.
