Clem Lake City Council Meeting <br />l'ai2,e 3 of 6 <br />Animal Control: At this time, the City of Gem Lake does not have animal <br />control. The company we had a contract with expired and they did not renew the <br />contract. Mayor Uzpen is working this issue with. White Bear Lake and the <br />Sherriff's office. At this time, any animal issues contact the Sherriff Deputy and. <br />they will take care of any animal issues. <br />Claims for April: The bills for April were discussed and authorized to pay. Upon <br />motion by Councilmember Artig-Swomley and seconded by Councilmember <br />Bosak, motion passes. Ayes — 5, Nays — 0. <br />Monthly Financial Report: The City Council received and reviewed the current <br />financial memo by Jessie Hart and budget for April and Gem Lake is at 73% of <br />the 2010 operating costs. Jessie went over the memo and explained the <br />information presented. <br />OPEN ITEMS FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br />Gambling Funds: Mayor Uzpen and Trevor Oliver explained the gambling <br />funds rates, having Gem Lake collecting 2% currently, but raising it to 10%. <br />Trevor explained that the council would have to amend and pass the ordinance in <br />order to raise the percentage rate. It was recommended to have a Public <br />Hearing next month. <br />SEH: Councilmember Lindner is working with Jeremy at SEH to complete the <br />MS4 report. He is working on a map of the inflow/out-flows of the City of Gem <br />Lake. <br />Flag Pole: Gem Lake should be receiving their flagpole in the next week. <br />Washington County will deliver the flagpole. The bid for the electrical work on <br />the flagpole is Gephardt. <br />Four Seasons Auto: Councilmember Rasmussen feels they are not abiding by <br />the conditional permit. Mayor Uzpen went over to talk to Mr. Newcomb's <br />property owner explaining the conditions of the conditional permit. The City <br />Council can start the process and can notify issues with Mr. Newcomb. The <br />council can hold a hearing with Mr. Newcomb and the council has the right to. <br />revoke the permit. The council agrees to keep an eye on the business for now. <br />Vadnais Heights Sports Complex: The project is moving forward as it has <br />been approved, It is scheduled for completion for fall, 2010. <br />FUTURE COUNCIL MEETINGS <br />Workshop Meeting: May 3., 201.0 at 7:00. p.m. <br />City Council Meeting: May 18, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. <br />I...00k [oi .ins on the World Wide 1Veb al. =�Lnilakelint:or <br />
