<br /> <br /> <br />3.14 Voting. Each Director shall have one (1) vote in all matters coming before the <br />Board. Approval of all matters, except capital improvement projects, will be <br />determined by a simple majority of Directors present and voting at the meeting. The <br />Board must approve a capital improvement project by a two-thirds vote of the Directors <br />present and voting at a meeting before a contract may be let to construct the project. <br />This revised language was agreed to by the majority of member community staff including <br />the City of Lino Lakes, Vadnais Heights, Gem Lake and White Bear Lake and was approved <br />as complying with requirements by BWSR. This above mentioned revised language in <br />section 3.14 has now been incorporated into Attachment 1 (the Final updated JPA) and is <br />now ready to be brought before the City Council /Town Board for consideration and <br />approval. <br />Request to Member Community Staff <br />VLAWMO staff would respectfully request City Council/Town Board consideration and action <br />on the attached JPA (Attachment 1) by Friday September 26, 2025 if possible. This timing <br />would allow for best “fit” and alignment with the anticipated timing with the upcoming <br />VLAWMO Board consideration of the next version of the VLAWMO Watershed Management <br />Plan later this Fall /Early Winter. <br />If you have any remaining legal based questions, please contact VLAWMO Attorney Troy <br />Gilchrist at Troy@townlawcenter.com.
