September 27, 2025 <br /> <br />Dear Resident, <br /> <br />The City of Gem Lake, Minnesota, Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing on <br />Tuesday, October 7th, at 7:00 pm. The purpose of the hearing is to consider applications by Jeff <br />and Nikki Foley for a Conditional Use Permit to establish a Home Occupation exceeding 50% of <br />the residence to provide financial services by appointment only and Variance request related to <br />the maximum number of non-residential employees and the maximum number of off-street <br />parking spaces provided. <br />The City’s Consolidated Land Use Ordinance requires a public hearing for all Conditional Use <br />Permit, Variance and the Special Home Occupation applications. You are being notified of this <br />hearing because your property is within 350 feet of the applicant’s property, address here. <br />You may attend the public hearing if you wish to provide comments or ask questions about the <br />proposed request. The meeting will be held at Heritage Hall (4200 Otter Lake Road). <br />You may also submit comments in writing (by letter or email) to Barbara Suciu, City Clerk, at 4200 <br />Otter Lake Road, Gem Lake, MN 55110 or barbara.suciu@gemlakemn.org prior to noon on the <br />day of the meeting. The Clerk will provide all comments received to the Planning Commission.
