City of Gem Lake <br />RESOLUTION NO.2020-006 <br />April 21:, 2020 <br />A RESOLUTION PROHIBMNG-OFF�SA.LE OF INTOXICATING LIQUOR BY <br />RESTAURANTS THAT POSSESS ONLY ON -SALE LICENSES <br />WHEREAS. the -Minnesota Legislatnn has authorized restaurants in possession of certain <br />on-sale intoxicating liquor licenses to sell. intoxicating liquor off --sale for the Rexiod°°restaurants <br />.are subject to. closure by executive *orders in response to the novel .coronavirUs pandemic, and <br />WHEREAS the Legislature also provided Minnesota Cities could elect to revoke this <br />authority, and <br />WHEREAS the City of Gem. Lake elects to continue to limit off -sale of intoxicating <br />liquOi to.only.'those in possession of an off --sale license duly issued by the. City, <br />NOWTHEREI`ORE, BE IT RESOLVED,: THE CITY COUNCIIL. OF THE CITY OF CzEIVI <br />LAKE, MINNESOTA HEREBY PROHIBITS OFF -SALE OF INTOXICATING LIQUOR, <br />INCLUDING WINE, BY RESTAURANTS THAT ARE ONLY ELIGIBLE AND -IN <br />POSSESSION OF. A LICENSE FOR ON -SALE OF INTOXICATING LIQUOR. <br />Passed by the.
