SEH inspected these areas and prepared a memorandum of the <br />observations and. listedsome poteritial solutions-te the drainage concerns. <br />To gain a better understanding of the overall drainage system within the City of Gem Lake,. SEH was hired fly the <br />City of Gem Lake following the spring flooding -at Sc.heuneman Road to inspect culvert crossings. within the. City, <br />including both City owned culverts and privately awned driveway/entrance culverts, At request from the City, <br />inspections were delayedone year and completed in•spr-lhg of 2020, Any. lAspeetiori $timmary, reports, and maps <br />were prepared for the City. <br />The purpose. of this memorandum is to identify some next steps foethe City with a focus on the Schueneman <br />'Road. <br />Private Culvert Crossings <br />During the 2019 Scheuneman Road site visits; culvert conditions .were not identified due to snow pack. During the <br />city wide culvert inspee tions, each crossing was inspected for the :following criteria: <br />• Structural Condition <br />• Submerged Condition. <br />• Sedimentation <br />• Erosion <br />Generally speaking, culverts throughout.the City of Gem Lake were in. overall.good shape. Tiyoughout the City, <br />the most prevalent of the inspection criteria identified was sedimentation, For the purposes of the inspections,. <br />sedimentation was defined as settled or.dep.osited sediment or other materials. that 6ay:be affecting culvert <br />capacity, entrance, or exit..
