City of Gem Lake <br />RESOLUTION NO.2020-0013 <br />September 15, 2020 <br />A resolution to approve the Gem Lake 2040 Comprehensive Plan and authorize <br />submission to the Metropolitan Council; <br />WHEREAS, under state law, the City of Gem Lake (the "City") is required to <br />prepare a comprehensive plan every ten years and the Metropolitan Council is enabled <br />to act as the reviewing authority for the City's comprehensive plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the City's comprehensive plan guides land use which is the basis for <br />zoning regulations in the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City sent the Comprehensive Plan to adjacent and affected <br />jurisdictions for review on January 18, 2019; and <br />WHEREAS, the City received and reviewed comments associated with this <br />review and incorporated the comments into the plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the City held a duly -noticed public hearing on September 15, 2020; <br />and <br />Now, therefore be it resolved, that the City Council of Gem Lake approves the <br />2040 Comprehensive Plan and authorizes submission to the Metropolitan Council. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was offered by Councilor <br />Lindner and was supported by Councilor Amlee and was declared adopted based upon <br />the following vote: <br />Artig-Swomley, <br />Mayor <br />Amlee <br />Cacioppo <br />Lindner <br />Kuny <br />Yes <br />Yes <br />Yes <br />Yes <br />Absent <br />Attest <br />I, Gloria Tessier, the duly qualified Acting City Clerk for the City of Gem Lake, County <br />of Ramsey, State of Minnesota, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution is a true <br />and accurate representation of action taken by the City Council of the City of Gem Lake <br />on the date first written. <br />/ September 15, 2020 <br />. ; - <br />CC! /,) . �- I <br />Tessier, Acting City Clerk <br />
