G. Penalty. Any person violating any orthe provisions of 6: 3..1 shal l be guilty of a petty misdemeanor.
<br />Section 7. Weapons
<br />1. No person in the City of Gem Lake shall have in his possession., except within his oven domicile, or carry;
<br />use, or discharge any air gun,."BB" gun, gas -operated or spring gun, or any other sirnilar:type instrument
<br />for the purpose oftIt row ing or projecting inissiles of.art y kind whatsoever, whether such instrument is
<br />called by arty naive set forth orany other name,
<br />2. The prohibition of 1,1 .above shall apply in. private grounds or premises under circumstances v%,hen such
<br />instruinent.can be.and is fired, discharged, or operated in such a inamrer as to end.anger.persons, property. or
<br />iviId animals or birds; and further provided that nothing herein contained shall be construed to prevent the
<br />carrying. of any #ype duii whatsoever when unloaded and properly cased.
<br />3. Aity persan wishing to:discliargc any iitstmrnentrefor rcd to in 7.1.For sotme.special reason or purpose must
<br />secure a.written permit From the City Council.
<br />Section 8. Curfew for Minors
<br />1. Restrictions. on Minors. It.shall.beunlawful. for any minor under the age of s.irteen (16)years:to loiter,
<br />idle, wander, stroll, or play in or upon. the public streets, highways,. road. s,.aIIeys, park s;.pl.aygrounds,.publ.ic
<br />places and public buildings; places of entertainment -an d amusentenf, vacant lots,:and other.unsupervised
<br />places in the City of Gem Lake between the hours of fen WeIock p,m. and. five o'clock a.m. the following
<br />day. It shall be unlawful for -any minor who is:sixteen (16) or seventeen (17.) years of age to loiter, idle,
<br />wander, stroll, or play in or upon public streets, highways;. roads, alleys, parks, playgrounds, public places,
<br />and public buildings, places of eitteTtainincrit anti amusement, vacant lots, and other.unsupervised places iri
<br />the: City. of Gem lake between. the:hours of twelve o'clock midnight and five o'clock the following
<br />morning, Provided, however, that the provisi.ons.of this section do not apply to. a rninor accoi A p an i ed. by his
<br />or ]ter guardian,. or other adult person having the care and custody of the ininor. to a minor who is upon.an
<br />emergency errand :or other legitimate business directed by Iris or her parent, guardian, or other adult person
<br />having the care and custody .of the minor, or where the. presence: of said minor in said place or places -is
<br />connected with and required by some legitimate business directed by his or her parent, guardian, or other
<br />adult person having.the.care and custody of the.irtinor, or wherethe presence of said minor in said place or
<br />places is connected with arequired by. soine.legitimate..busittm, trade, profession., oroccupation in which
<br />said minor is perinitted.by law to be on. gaged;
<br />2. Duties Of Parents or Guardians. It shall be unlawful for the parent, guardian, or:other adult person having
<br />charge of a minor under the Age of eighteen (1.8).years to. permit such .minor. to Iviter, idle, wander, stroll, or
<br />play in or upon the public streets. [Iighways, roads, alleys,. parks; playgrounds, public places and public
<br />buildings,. places of entertainment and amusement;.vacantlots,.and other unsupervised places in the City of
<br />Gem Lake during the hours prohibited by this: Ordin ance;. provided, however, that the provisions of this
<br />section do.not:app]ywhen..the minor is accoin pan1ed by ]I is or her parent,.guardian, or 'other adult person
<br />haviitg the. care: and custody of the minor, where the :miitor is upon art emergency errand or legitimate
<br />business. directed.byItis or leer parent, guardian., or other adult person hating the care:and custody of the.
<br />minor, or where the presence.of said. minor in said place is connected with and required by some legitimate
<br />business, trade,:profession, or occupation in which said minor is permitted bylaw to be engaged.
<br />3. Minors in Amusement Places. No person, operating & in charge of any place ofamusement,
<br />entertainment,: or reftesliment shall perm it any minor under the age: of eighteen (13.) years to remain in such
<br />place during the.hOurs prohibited by. this Ord iriance; provided, however, that the provisions of this section
<br />sha]1.itot apply when such minor is ace ornpan ied by his. or her parent, guardian., or other adult person
<br />having the care.and .custody ofthe: minor.
