EXTRACT OF MINUTEX OF MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF GEM LAKE, MINNESOTA <br />HELD JULY 18, 2023 <br /> <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the City Council of the City of Gem Lake, Minnesota <br />was duly called and held at the Gem Lake City Hall in said City at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Artig-Swomley, Councilmember Cacioppo, <br />Councilmember Lindner, Councilmember Johnson, and Councilmember Amlee. <br /> <br />And the following members were absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Lindner introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />City of Gem Lake, MN <br />Resolution No. 2023-0013 <br />July 18, 2023 <br /> <br />AN ORDER TO ABATE A PUBLIC NUISANCE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following individuals are the registered property owners of the following described <br />properties: <br /> <br />Patrick Igo <br />1621 Goose Lake Road <br />Gem Lake, MN 55110 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the property is zoned residential; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the property has had a portable storage/disposal container and/or semi-trailer type container <br />on the property for more than 30 days in a 12-month period and without an Interim Use Permit; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City notified the property owner by letters dated May 9, June 8, and July 10 that the <br />condition of the property represents a public nuisance per City Code. Said Notice was mailed regulation <br />mail and certified mail; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the public nuisance conditions consist of the improper storage of a portable storage/disposal <br />container and/or semi-trailer type container, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the property owner has not remedied the public nuisance conditions existing on the <br />property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Gem Lake City Council reviewed the matter at its public meeting on July 18, 2023. All <br />persons present at said meeting were given an opportunity to be heard and present written statements. The <br />Council also considered the recommendation of the City Staff that this order be issued; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this order was initiated pursuant to the City of Gem Lake, City Ordinance No. 86, Sec. 10. <br />
