October 20th 1959 <br />end Meeting — <br />The second meeting of the Council was held at the Hoffman Corners Hall, <br />on October 20th 1959.The Mayor called the meeting to order at 8:35 pm. <br />Present were; Mayor Hoffman, Clerk Morgan, Trustees Arcand,Gray and <br />Hansen and Treasurer Birkeland. <br />1. It was unanimously resolved that the Judges of election be <br />commended for their excellent and pains taking organizing work at <br />the first village elction. Mrs. Helen Schifsky, Firs John Daniels and <br />Miss Eileen Bigelow are herby so commended. <br />2. Mayor Hoffman presented a le ...-,r from KERNIT HE0K.. sheriff of Ramsy <br />County which announced the cost to the Village of policing service. <br />The letter was placed on file and Mayor Hoffman stated that he would <br />enquire as to just what service was included in the priced given. <br />3. Clerk Morgan presented a letter from the County Engineer enquring <br />if the village wished the services of the county in plim snow plowing <br />and ice sanding on our only village road which runs from Goose Lake <br />Read to the Northern Pacific Railroad, and known as Tessier Rtad. The <br />clerk was asked to find out from the county engineer what was involedd, <br />and what had been done in the past. <br />4. In accordance with a resolution passed at the previous meetin7 the <br />Council unanimously approved the appoimtment of the folliong Township <br />inspectors to serve until further notice; <br />�1 Building Inspector — Walter C. Long — Birch Lake — White Bear Lake. <br />Plumbing Inspector — W.C.West — 1911 Birch Lake Ave,,, W.B.Lk. <br />Electrical Inspector — Stan Sayre — 1141 South Robert, St.--aul <br />Heating Inspector — Henry Thompson, No. St.Paul <br />These inspectors to turn in a-.1 their fees to the village and report <br />in advance of each village council meeting. when inspections are made, <br />they then turn in their bills for 75/ of the fees turned in. <br />5. In,order to make immediate inspection possible the council voted <br />r7 unanimously to adopt the White Bear Township Building Corse and. <br />C� Zoning Ordinances to be in effect until changed by the council. <br />6. Under the above codes the following trades are regUired to pay a <br />license fee of $12.60 for the year ending June 30*h 1960. <br />Plumbing,Electrical, Heating, Excavating and Grading, Well drilling <br />and Cesspools. The inspectors will take care of the licensing of their <br />trades and secure from them a certificate of lidbility insurance <br />Inspectors receive no part of the licensing flees. <br />
