THE ONE HUNDRED AND THIRD MEETING - VILLAGE OF GEM LAKE <br />COUNCIL MARCH 19th, 1968 - HOFFMANS CORNERS HALL <br />1. THE MAYOR CALLED THE METING TO ORDER AT 8:32 PM. <br />2. The CLERK CALLED THE ROLL - <br />PRESENT - H. Hoffman, J. Ward, J. Morgan and Knutson <br />ABSENT - Bigelow and Arcand <br />3. WARD MOVED AND HOFFMAN SECONDED THAT THE READIM OF THE <br />MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING HELD FEBRUARY20thip BE AND <br />HEREBY ARE DISPENSED WIWH - all ayes. <br />4- PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR <br />�. REPORTS OF COMMITTEES - <br />a.Morgan reported that Bemis had advised him that the report <br />requested from the Midwest Planning and Research on Zon- <br />ing matters had not ,yet been received. <br />6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS - <br />a. Clerk left with the Ma-yor plans submitted by the <br />Higway Departmmnt covering certain changes in Highway <br />1#61 and #244 which might effect Hoffman and Summit Farms. <br />7. NEW BUSNESS - <br />XYx±hHx±xmaXXxK.xx <br />8. REPORTS OF VILLAGE OFFICERS - <br />a. The treasurer reported a ba�nce of 41,892.01 <br />b. The Clerk reported a balance of 41,339.09 kiLtzma after <br />checks noted below. <br />c. The treasurer reported that the information volunteered by <br />trustee A rcand in regard to the discrepancy in the check <br />book balance, not being in accord with the bank, was no <br />doubt due to a bad ckeck situation, was correct. The treasurer <br />mould appreciate the minutes of this m&eting to indicate <br />that no adjustment in his books was required and that proper <br />entires have now been made to bring the error within 4i1.00. <br />So moved by Morgan and seconded by Hoffman. All ayes. <br />d. Moved by Ward and seconded by Morgan that the treasurer be <br />and is authorized to write off " dead " checks " to the <br />extent of $64-00 - All ayes. <br />e. Moved by Hoffman and seconded by Ward that the clerk was <br />authorized to purchase a portable electric typewriter. All <br />ayes. <br />d. Bills authorized were: - <br />City Treasurer - March fire - #725 4 75.00 <br />Donn D. Christensen - legal fees 726 75.00 <br />Midwest Plan. & Res. - zone report 727 voided <br />Municipal court for February - 728 59.16 <br />Whitt Bear Press - finance state. 729 38.40 <br />Victor Knutson - supplies 730 12.70 <br />John Morgan - supplies 731 17.00 <br />Asvance Stamp Works - stamp for H.H. 732 1.55 � <br />9.
