ONE - HUNDRED AND FOURTH MEETING - VILLAGE OF GEM LAKE <br />COUNCIL, APRIL 16th, 1968- HOFFMANS CORNERS HALL <br />L. TPIE MAYOR CALLED THE MEETING OT ORDER AT 8:00 PM <br />2. THE CLERK CALLED THE ROLL - <br />PRESENT - Hoffman, Bigelow, Morgan and Knutson. <br />Also Bemis, Carl Sscheuneman, R. Hansen & k4fS <br />ABSENT - Ward and Arcand. <br />3. THE CLERK RTAD THE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING HELD <br />MARCH 19th, 1968 - Moved by Hoffman and seconded by Bigelow <br />that same be approved as read. <br />4. PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR - <br />a. Don Carley our engineer reported to us that kkat VadnAis <br />Heights was working on a sewer deal which we might in time <br />be able to tie into either on Highway 61 or on the cr,rner <br />of Goose Lake Rd, LaBore and the th ru way. Carley will <br />write us a leTter suggesting that they make a survey as <br />to what the economics might be - starting with the Scheune- <br />man road group amd village - cost might be 500 dollars. <br />5. REPORTS OF COMMITTEES :: <br />A. Bemis read a letter to the Chrysler Corp. which reviewed <br />.some 62 the discussions and suggestions made at the Planning <br />Committee meeting. Hansen called attention to the problems <br />of Lighting, View of the neighbors and Traffics. lifter <br />some discussion it was moved by Hoffman and seconded by <br />Bigelow that Bemis letter is approved and made a part of <br />these minutes. <br />b. Bemis read the Midwest Researxh and Planning Com report on <br />zoning in full. This in general recommends that the present <br />r/ zoning west of #61 be continued as it, and that the East <br />b side of #61 remain as is except for the part on the east <br />side of Scheuneman road directly opposite the Chrysler <br />piece which could be rezoned GB - if desired. Morgan moved <br />and Hoffman seconded that the report be made a part of these <br />minutes. <br />6. UNUINISHED BUSINESS - <br />7. NEW BUSINESS - <br />a. Bigelow moved and Morgan seconded that Eugene R. Murray, <br />of Monson, Murray, Paulet and Smith - 313 Derzree of Honor <br />�({ Bldg. St.Paul, be appointed to take the place of Donn d. <br />I Christensen to represent us on the Munidpal court. His <br />latter of April 1st states that he will accep7 such apponmt. <br />All ayes. <br />u b. Hoffman moved and Bigelow seconded that Highway Dept. <br />resolution #319 of April 8th,1968 be approved and sent ha& <br />to the department. Copy of resolution is part of these mint. <br />8.
