THE ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTH MEEY6NG - VILLAGE OF GEM LAKE <br />COUNCIL - May 21st 1968 - HOFFMANS COR1 ERS HALL <br />1. THE MAYOR CAI LED THE MEETING TO ORDER AT 8 :20PM. <br />2. THE CLERK CALLED THE ROLL - <br />Present - Hoffman, Bigelow, Morgan, Arcand and Knutson. <br />Absent - Ward. <br />Also PRESENT were J. Bemis, Ed Dwyer, Joe McGinnis, <br />Ulrich, Ross and RtrM. Hansen. <br />3. THE CLERK READ THE MI14UTES OF THE P EVICUS MEETING HELD <br />APRIL 16th, 1968 - moved by Arcand and seconded by Bigelow <br />that the same be approved as read. ':. <br />4. PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR - <br />Though not a part of these minutes R. H. Hansen gave us <br />the A. lecture on community relations. <br />5. REPORTS OF COP'TITTEES - <br />a. DeBilzan asked Bemis if he needed a special permit to <br />have his family and friends play baseball on the lot <br />between Williamson and Dettman. The council felt that <br />no action of any kind was needed at this time, and non e <br />would be needed unless the games become a nuisance. <br />6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS - <br />a. The clerk read Carley Associates letter of April 22nd <br />which recommended that they as our engineers make a <br />study of the sewer problem in a) nnection with Little <br />�f Canada and Vadnais Heights - the study is not to exceed <br />*500. Bigelow moved and Hoffman seconded that Uarley <br />be authorized to proceed at once. <br />Note:Jim Terry at 3970 Scheuneman Road stated that he <br />has a storm sewer problem at his location ( as has <br />Dave Hoffman next doo4 It was suggested that we <br />ask Carley to take a look at this situation when h¢ <br />gets a chance and see if he has any ideas. <br />7. NEW BUS IATESS - <br />a. Moved by Arcand and seconded by Hoffman that cigarette <br />and on sale beer licenses be granted to Gem Lake Golf <br />course. <br />8.
