THIRTY-NINTH MEETING - VILLAGE OF GEM LAKE COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 20th, 1962 - HOFFMANS CORNERS HALL <br />1. The MAYOR CALLED THE MEE`!'ING TO ORDER AT 8:20 PM. <br />2, THE CLERK CALLED THE ROLL - <br />PRESENT - Hoffman, Hansen, Arcand,Gray, Morgan, D. Hoffman and <br />Clarence Wild. <br />ABSENT - None. <br />3. THE CLERK READ THE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING HELD OCTOBER <br />ZOth 1962 - MOVED BY ARCAND AND SECONDED BY HANSEN THAT THE SAME <br />BE APPROVED AS READ - ALL AYES. <br />4. PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR - <br />a. Applications for Christmas Tree licenses from Clarence Wild <br />and the White Bear Floral Shop, were approved - moved by Arcand <br />and seconded by Hansen - All Ayes. <br />5. REPORTS OF COMMITTEES - <br />a. Bemis ( chairman of the Village Planning Committee) had submitted <br />copies of the Zoning Regulations at the October loth meeting and <br />certain corrections had been recommended, In the absence of Bemis <br />Morgan submitted the "Revised Gem Lake Zoning Ordinance", with <br />Bemis recommendation that same be approved by the council in its <br />present form and then submitted to the Residents of Gem Lake at <br />a Public Hearing t. be held on Tuesday December llth at 8:00 PM <br />in Hoffmans Corners Hall.Hansen moved and Gray seconded this <br />recommendation. All Ayes. The council requested that the Clerk <br />publish a notice of this hearing; in the White Bear Press and <br />sec that copies get in ever,; mail box. <br />b. The Council requested the Clerk to write a letter to the City of <br />White Bear lake, expressing our interest in the sewer, and <br />advising them that same will be „lso discuused at the December llth <br />meeting. <br />e. Clarence Wild urged that some of the village residents take more <br />interest in Civil Defense and attend some of the disaster courses <br />being given by thao County. <br />6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS - none <br />7. NEW BUSINESS :: NONE. <br />8. REPORTS OF VILLAGE OFFICERS - <br />a. The treasurer reported the kurchse of two $1,000 - 6 months 3-.1% <br />savings certificates from the White Bear Bank. The same were <br />placed in Morgans metal file in his cellar. <br />b. Treasurers report - Previous balance $4.,763.02 <br />Receipts 2.7 <br />1 .77 <br />Disbursements 2 08.6 <br />Bank balance , <br />b.
