SPECIAL MEETING - VILLAGE OF GEM LAKE COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 25TH 1963 - HOFFMANS CORNERS HALL .: <br />CALLED BY THE MAYOR. <br />1. THE MAYOR CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AT 8:20 PM, <br />2. THE CLERK CALLED THE ROLL - <br />PRESENT - H. Hoffman, Allen Hansen, John Gray, Richard Arcand and <br />John Morgan. <br />ABSENT - none. <br />ALSO PRESENT - J. Bemis, chairman planning committee. <br />3. BUSINESS OF SPECIAL MEETING - SEWER. <br />After a discussion of the sewer problem, the following resolution <br />was moved by Richard .Arcand and seconded by John gray and <br />--inanimously approved. <br />Resolved:- that the Village Council of Gem Lake Village hereby <br />authorizes Henry L. Hoffman and Allen R. Hansen to negotiate with <br />the White Bear City engineer ( Bonestroo,Rosene & I.:_socts Inc ) <br />for the purpose of havingih1m make a survey and prepare specifications <br />and estimate of all the costs involved in constructing an adequate <br />sewer line from a location on E. County Rd E adjacent to the Summit <br />Farm Dairy (said location to be designated by Allen R. Hansen) east <br />along E. County Rd. E. to a junction with the City of White Bear <br />sewer line in the right of way of the Nothern Pacific Railroad tracks. <br />The Village of Gem Lake agrees to confirm such an arrangement, when <br />finalized, ir_ a letter to the White Bear Uity engineer ( Bonestroo, <br />Rosene Associates Inc). <br />4. AUTHORITY - <br />Henry L. Hoffman and Allen R. Hansen stated in the presence of the <br />council members and chairman of the planning committee that they <br />agree to underwrite all the costs of the survey and estimate <br />referred to in the above resolution, to the Village of Gem Jake <br />and hold the Village harmless of any actual or implied liabilities. <br />5.
