FIFTY - NINTH MEETING - VILLAGE OF GEM LAKE COUNCIL <br />JULY 21st 1964 - HOFFMANS CORNERS HALL <br />1. THE MAYOR CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AT 8:50 PM <br />2. THE CLERK CALLED THE ROLL - <br />PRE -SENT - Hoffman, Hansen, Arcand, Morgan and Dave Hoffman. <br />ABSENT - Gray. <br />3. MOVED BY kRCAND AND SECONDED BY HABSEN THAT THE READINU OF THE <br />MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETIivG IILLD JUNE 16th 1964 , BE <br />DESPENSED WITH. ALL AYES. <br />4. PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR - <br />a. Mr. Fran Jaques of the Knights of Columbus, stated that his <br />organization had hopes of using the abandonned school building <br />for a meeting hall, and if they were successful in getting a <br />lease from the school board, could they serve 3.2 beer to their <br />members and did they need a license or a permit. Hansen moved <br />and Arcand seconded that the council would be happy to issue <br />whatever permit or license would he needed. All ayes. <br />5. REPORTS OF COMMITTEES - None <br />6. UNEINISHED BUSINESS - none <br />7. NEW BUSINESS - <br />( a, The council had Deceived a letter from Mr. Walter Ranik of <br />5100 Quail Ave. No., Minneapolis, who was interested in building <br />a Mobile Home Park in our area. Such a project is not provided <br />for in our Zoning Ordinance #5, and as the village does not have <br />public facilities such as water and sewer, the clerk was irstrut- <br />ed to write Mr. Ranik advising him that no such permit could be <br />granted at this time.(The clerk wrote on July 29th) <br />8. REPORTS OF VILLAGE OFFICERS <br />a. Treasurers report - Previous balance 1,798.27 <br />Receipts 182.94 <br />Total 1,961.21 <br />Disbursements 112.95 <br />Current balance 1; 666. 26 <br />Bills authorized were - <br />City treasurer -July fire protection 5¢ 75.00 #409 <br />Sam Hane - July Dump 10, 00 410 <br />N.W. Rell.Tel Co - July service 11411 <br />Total 7677 <br />9. MEETING ADJOURNED AT 9:15 Fm - Moved by Arcand and seconded by <br />Hansen. All ayes. <br />Omitted under ;/7 - New Business - Judges for the primary election <br />on September 8th and the National election were appointed as <br />follows: Chief Judge, Mrs. John H. Daniels, with Eileen Bigelow <br />and Helen Schifsky - alternates, Mrs. Donald Opstad, <br />Mrs. John Morgan and Mrs. Stan Donnelly.Moved by Hansen <br />and seconded by Arcand. All ayes. <br />
