FIFTY-EIGHITH MEETING - VILLAGE OF GEM LAKE COUNCIL <br />JUNE 16th 1964 - HOFFMANS CORNERS HALL <br />1. THE MAYOR CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AT 8:35 PM. <br />2. THE CLERK CALLED THE ROLL - <br />PRESENT - Hoffman, Arcand, Gray, Morgan and Dave Hoffman. <br />ABSENT - Hansen <br />3. MOVED T?Y ARCAND AND SECONDED BY GRAY THE THE READING OF THE <br />PREVIOUS MEETING HELD MAY 19th 1964, BE DISPENSED WITH. ALL AYES. <br />4. PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR - none. <br />5. REPORTS OF COMMITTEES - none <br />6. UNFINISEED BUSINESS - <br />a. The clerk had be asked to determine what procedure was involved <br />in re -submitting a request for a " special use permit". The clerk <br />conferred with Howard Dahlgren of Midwest Planning and Research <br />who advised that if this matter was not covered in the Zoning <br />Ordinance ( and it is not) then it is entirely up to the decision <br />of the council as to how they wish to proceed. This conclusion <br />seemed satisfactory to the council. <br />7. NEW BUSINESS - <br />a. <br />Mayor Hoffman submitted an application from Fred Roth to the <br />Liquor Control Commission requesting a "set-up" license which <br />must receive the approval of the council before it aan be issued <br />by the Commission. Moved by Arcand and Seconded by Gray that <br />the application for a "set-up" license for Fred Roth of June loth <br />1964 be approved. All ayes. <br />c. <br />Gray moved and Arcand seconded that a non -intoxicating malt <br />liquor license for the coming year be granted to the Burlap <br />Lounge at the regular price of $35,00. All ayes. <br />3. <br />8. REPORTS OF VILLAGE OFFICERS - <br />a. <br />The clerk reported that he had attended two meeting of the <br />area sewer committee and listened to the discussions regarding <br />plans for financing of the main trunk lines. Though he reported <br />no conclusions had been arrived at, it appears that a finance <br />plan must be submitted by Aiigust 15th and decisions made by <br />the first of October. Henry Hoffman said he would go to the next <br />meeting. <br />b. <br />The treasurer reported - Previous balance 2,416.41 <br />Receipts 10 .00 <br />Total 2, 2 1 <br />Disbursements 722.95 <br />current balance , 97.E <br />c. <br />Bills authorized were '•: <br />City Treasurer - June fire Prot. #404 75.00 <br />Sam Hane - dump for .Tune 405 . 10 , 00 <br />N.W.Bell Tel. Co June serviee 406 11.65 <br />Midwest Plan. & Res, for maps 407 10.08 <br />N.W. Publications Inc.. Weed notice 408 6.22 <br />Total 1 2. <br />9. NIEETING ADJOURNED AT 9:15 PM <br />
