SIXTY-SECOND P]EETING - VILLAGE OF GEM LAKE COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 20th 1964 - HOFFMANS CORNERS HALL <br />1. THE MAYOR CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AT 8:20 PM <br />2. THE CLERK CALLED THE ROLL - <br />PRESENT - Mayor Hoffman, Hansen, Arcamd, Gray, Morgan and Dave <br />Hoffman. <br />ABSENT - none <br />3. TIIE CLERK READ THE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING HELD SEPT. <br />15th 1964, Moved by Arcand and seconded by Hansen that the same be <br />approved as read. All ayes. <br />4. FIMENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR:: NONE'. <br />The Mayor mentioned that a woman had advised him that she had <br />purchased 15 to 20 acres on Goose Lake Road and planned to move in <br />second hand houses sometime.She must submit any plans of any kind <br />to the Planning Committee. <br />5. REPORTS OF COY34ITTEES p <br />Mayor Hoffman and Morgan reported that they had attended the big <br />RCLM meeting on sewers and in reply to their request had returned <br />the following message - " The Village of Gem Lake believes that <br />M In order that this plan might be an actionable one, it is essent- <br />ial that some governmental tentityf be organized to perform the <br />function of providing sewer service to the suburban area". It also <br />believes that the City of St. Paul should be included in this <br />tentityV. Approved by the Council. <br />6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS - none <br />7. NEW BUSINESS - a. Moved by liansen and seconded by Arcand that <br />Mrs. Cole Oehler be appointed as annalternate election Judge, with <br />the following counters; Art and Lorraine Birkeland, Vic Knutson <br />and R. Arcand. Al ayes. <br />b. Moved by Hansen and seconded by Arcand that the "Off sale" <br />license to Earl Labore and the it sale" license to Art Birkeland <br />be extended for one year from December 31st 1964.
