EIGHTY - SIXTH MEETING - VILLAGE OF GEM LAKE COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 20TH , 1966 - HOFFMANS CORNERS HALL <br />1, THE 1ATOR CALLED THE MEETING T ORDER AT 8:30 PM <br />2. THE CLERK CALLED THE ROLL - <br />PESENT - HOFFNIF_N, Gray, Morgan and Ward4 ( and Mrs. Ward) <br />ABSENT - Bigelow, and Arcand <br />3. THE CLERK READ THE IVIINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING HELD <br />AUGUST 16th, 1966 - Gray moved ah d Hoffman seconded that <br />the same be approved as react - All ayes. <br />4- PRESENTATIONS ,ROM THE FLOOR - none <br />5 - REPORTS OF COI,d-iITTEES - none. <br />6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS - <br />a. With respect to the vacating of the old Fairchild and <br />Brown's plat on Scheuneman road, not iIIR of hearing was <br />published in the White Bear Press on Agust 25th, and again <br />/ on September first, for this meeting. No one appeared et' <br />spoke in opposition to the vacation. Hoffman moved and Gray <br />seconded that the vacation be approved by the council as <br />follows: <br />1. All of STANFELL STREET In BLOCK No.l Fairchild and Brown's <br />addition. <br />2. All of the ALLEY in BLOCK No.l of Fairchild and Brown's addition. <br />3. All of CHARLES STREET in BLOCK No. 1- of Fairchild and Brown's <br />addition. <br />A,11 ayes. <br />7. NEW BUSINESS - <br />a. Gray moved and Hoffman seconded that notices of "Filing of <br />candidates" and " Village election# for Nov. 8th, 1966 be <br />put in the White Bear Pressp prior to October 7th - all ayes. <br />b. Mrs. Daniel& was added to list of Judges for November election. <br />8. REPORTS OF VILLAGE OFFICERS - <br />a. Mayor thinks easement matter will be settled before next <br />meeting. <br />b. Clerk reported a balance of 4: 3,825.00 before bills. <br />c. Morgan moved and Gray seconded that a thousand be added to <br />the savings account, bringing the total to5,000. <br />d. Bills authorized were :- <br />City Treasurer - September fire # 583 6 75.00 <br />Municipal court - Sept. expense 584 55.64 <br />Eileen Bigelow - election judge 585 15.00 <br />Mrs. Chas.
