EIGHTY - SEVENTH MEETING - VILLri.r_ OF GEM LAKE COUNCIL OCTOBER 18th, 1966 - HOFFMANS CORNERS HALL. 1. THE MATOR CALLED THE MEETING TO OMDER AT 8:15 PM 2. THE CLERIC CALLED THE ROLL - PRESENT - Hoffman, Arcnad, Gray, Bigeillw, Morgan and Ward. Also Wild, Bemis and Schreiners. ABSENT - None, 3. THE CLEW READ THE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 20th, 1.966 is John Ward pointed out that the minutes nRglected to mention Mrs. Wards request that TowAley put a stop at his exit on E. The Mayor will take this up with Towsley. With this correction Gray moved and Arcand seconded that same be appro- ved as read. All ayes. I.I.. PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR - a. The planning committee recommended that the "Special Use Permit" be granted to Lloyd Urban for the construction and D operation of a " Car Wash" and gasoline station on the north side of East County Road E , between H. Hoffman home and Roth restaurant, under Zoning Ordinance -,-15, section 12.3 (2) in Zone R-B - moved by Arcand and seconded by Gray. all ayes. b. The planning committee received a request for an advertising X4'XXXNXNX XMRKZ1 X- sign on Hansen property on Highway #61, a. for a sign to advertise the Jgntzer_ Motel. In view of the fact that such a sign would not conform to the Zoning Ordinance, the planning rbmmittee recommended that this request be refused. Moved by Gray and seconded by Morgan that said recommendation be accepted by the council. all ayes. c. The planning committee reported that a request had been reciv- ed from Mrs. Alice Heath to sub -divide 20 acres on the north side of Goose Lake Rd, east of Tessier road. She had submitted a preliminary drawing of sue 'a division. The planning committee will ask her to make a more detailed proposal and to submit it to the next meeting in person. We will have to get some road specifications for Mrs, Heath and also later for Miss Bigelow. 5 & 6 REPORTS OF COT01ITTEES AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS - none. . NEW pUS INESS - a. Moved by Arcand and seconded by Gray that liquor licenses be granted as follows - "O]fl€-Sale" license to the Cpuntry Lounge for the year to December 31st 1967 and " Off -sale" license to David -Schaller for the year to December 31st 1967 at a cost of ", _',000 and y:100 respectively. All ayes. 8. REPORTS OF VILLAGE OFFICERS - a. The Mayor reported that the easements for the county ditch had been signed by the Birkelands and Woletzes and in due course would be placed in our files. b.
