EIGHTY - SEVENTH MEETING - VILLri.r_ OF GEM LAKE COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 18th, 1966 - HOFFMANS CORNERS HALL. <br />1. THE MATOR CALLED THE MEETING TO OMDER AT 8:15 PM <br />2. THE CLERIC CALLED THE ROLL - <br />PRESENT - Hoffman, Arcnad, Gray, Bigeillw, Morgan and Ward. <br />Also Wild, Bemis and Schreiners. <br />ABSENT - None, <br />3. THE CLEW READ THE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING HELD ON <br />SEPTEMBER 20th, 1.966 is John Ward pointed out that the minutes <br />nRglected to mention Mrs. Wards request that TowAley put a stop <br />at his exit on E. The Mayor will take this up with Towsley. With <br />this correction Gray moved and Arcand seconded that same be appro- <br />ved as read. All ayes. <br />I.I.. PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR - <br />a. The planning committee recommended that the "Special Use <br />Permit" be granted to Lloyd Urban for the construction and <br />D operation of a " Car Wash" and gasoline station on the north <br />side of East County Road E , between H. Hoffman home and Roth <br />restaurant, under Zoning Ordinance -,-15, section 12.3 (2) in <br />Zone R-B - moved by Arcand and seconded by Gray. all ayes. <br />b. The planning committee received a request for an advertising <br />X4'XXXNXNX XMRKZ1 X- sign on Hansen property on Highway #61, <br />a. for a sign to advertise the Jgntzer_ Motel. In view of the fact <br />that such a sign would not conform to the Zoning Ordinance, the <br />planning rbmmittee recommended that this request be refused. <br />Moved by Gray and seconded by Morgan that said recommendation <br />be accepted by the council. all ayes. <br />c. The planning committee reported that a request had been reciv- <br />ed from Mrs. Alice Heath to sub -divide 20 acres on the north <br />side of Goose Lake Rd, east of Tessier road. She had submitted <br />a preliminary drawing of sue 'a division. The planning committee <br />will ask her to make a more detailed proposal and to submit it <br />to the next meeting in person. We will have to get some road <br />specifications for Mrs, Heath and also later for Miss Bigelow. <br />5 & 6 REPORTS OF COT01ITTEES AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS - none. <br />. NEW pUS INESS - <br />a. Moved by Arcand and seconded by Gray that liquor licenses be <br />granted as follows - "O]fl€-Sale" license to the Cpuntry Lounge <br />for the year to December 31st 1967 and " Off -sale" license to <br />David -Schaller for the year to December 31st 1967 at a cost <br />of ", _',000 and y:100 respectively. All ayes. <br />8. REPORTS OF VILLAGE OFFICERS - <br />a. The Mayor reported that the easements for the county ditch <br />had been signed by the Birkelands and Woletzes and in due course <br />would be placed in our files. <br />b. The clerk showed a balance of S, ,673.61 after expenses below - <br />This did not fully agree with the treasurer's figures so clerk <br />and treasurer will meet shortly to compare books, <br />
