EIGHTY - NINTH MEETING - VILLAGE OF GEM LAKE COUNCIL DECEMBER 20th, 1966 - HOFFMANS CORNERS BALL 1. THE MAYOR CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AT 8:37 PM, 2, THE CLERK CALLED THE ROLL - PRESENT - Henry Hoffman, Eileen Bigelow and John Morgan ( and Bill Flaspeter ) ABSENT - John Gray and Dick Arcand and John Ward, 3. 110FFMAII LOVED AND BIGELOW SECONDED THAT THE READI14G OF THE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 22ND BE AND HEREBY ARE DISPENSED WITH - All ayes. 4- PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR. - a, Bill Flaspeter appeared with the request for a special / permit to rhove a house into Gem Lake. The house was built 19Z in 3952 - is one and a galf stories - 281 x 30 t- frame construction and in good condition- Hoffman moved and Bigelow seconded that said permit be granted - all ayes. b. Dave Hoffman came in and reported that his lawyer believes that our vacation of Fairchild and Browns addition Block #1, is not legal ( see Resolution #58 - Se pt. 20th, 1966 ) The council authorized Dave Hoffman to arrange with his lawyer to prepare the necessary legal documents. K. REPORTS OF COMMITTEES - a. No official reports - Mayor Hoffman advises that the building of the County Pitch and culvert will now have to wait for spring. 6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS * none 7. NrW BUSINESS - a. Rober A. Cartier reports in his letter of Dec. 19th, 1966 that he has resigned as electrical inspector of White Bear Township but will continue as inppector fpr Gem Lake. We Will re -a, --point him in Januaeyry. 8. REPORTS OF VILLAGE OFFICERS - a. The clerk submitted a preliminary financial rep ory for the year 1966 - copy is attached hereto. b. Bills authorized were: City Treasurer - December fire - ##626 75.00 Municipal court 627 56.20 Bachman -Anderson - Trea- d.ond 628 19.00 `'Tie White near Press - bal. 629 7.20 Rabert A. Cartier - part of fees 630 0.7 9- MEETING ADJOURNED AT 9.915 - moved by Bigelow and seconded by Morgan.
