Horne Occupations Staff Report: January 18, 2022 <br />Gem Lake .City Council Page 2 <br />DRAFT ORDINANCE <br />The city currently has rules and regulations for home occupations housed in ordinance #85. Some of the <br />language has not changed, while some parts have been overhauled in the last few months by the <br />Planning Comrnission. A red iined copy of the ordinance draft.is included to show what has. and has not <br />changed. <br />The newly drafted ordinance on home occupations would reppal.and. replace .ordinance #85..Along with <br />this., the proposal also includes a.minor update to the Consolidated Land Use Ordinance, where our <br />zoning items are housed, Appendix A houses the defined terms used in the C.orisolldated Land Use <br />Ordinance; home occupations is one of the terms. in the appendix. An. update to revise the. definition of <br />home occupations is the function of the second ordinance document. <br />ACTION REQUESTED <br />The City Council has -the following options: <br />1 . Approval of.the proposed ordinance,. with or without changes: <br />2. Table the item for further reviewlstudy <br />If adopting the ordinances, the p.reference.from staff would be to take a separate vote on each ordinance. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The Planning.Comm ission fecommended the City Council approve the two ordinances. <br />Attachments:. <br />• For review only <br />o Redlined document of -draft ordinance language <br />Ordinance.
