February. 4, 2022 <br />DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUEST <br />The applicants are looking to build a. detached accessory structure on their property at 3984 Scheuneinan <br />Rd. The proposed structure would be 7,1.76 square feet in size, and located to. the east of the existing <br />house. The structure would have a second floor for additional storage, which would result in a max height <br />of 25 feet for the structure. <br />Any combination.of accessory structures with a footprint exceeding 1;000 square feet require a <br />conditional use permit (CUP) be issued by the city, per Section 16.5:of the Consolidated. Land Use <br />ordinance. The combination of the existing accessory building space, plus the proposed accessory <br />structure, would result in a total of more than 1,000:.square feet of accessory building space, <br />CUPS require. review by the Planning Commission, and final approval or denial by -the City Council. The. <br />Planning Commission.reviewed the request at their.meeting an. March. 8t'. After discussing the size; use, <br />and impacts to views and neighborhood aesthetics; the co ri missioners. recommended to approve the <br />request as proposed.
