The lotis <br />rectangular in shape, and is 1.85 acres in size, per County records. The property includes an:e*6g <br />house, and a barn previously used for housing horses. The site is fairly flat; with the. lot gradually sloping <br />west towards the street. A fenced in area for the <br />two goats totaling 1,864•SF'Would be installed east.of the barn. The existing barn is approximately 430 <br />SF in size, and was previoy4ly,used under: previous owners for housing fans animals (horses) as well. <br />Consolidated Land Use Ordinance Requirements <br />The Consolidated land Use ordinance outlines what uses are permitted in each zoning district. Section <br />7.,3.1 notes that a.CUP Qr IIJP can be issuedfor"the harboring and housing of.agricultural animals on lots. <br />greater than one O.Q) acre'. The. applicant's .property is over the one acre in size, -so this requirement .is� <br />met. Staff reviewed..* —files, and found that#hera are not many permits or recwds of*properties in tho city <br />having farm animals, so this.is a bit of a unique or uncommon request. <br />Section 7.3.3 notes that agricultural structures ate able to be permitted to house farm animals, such as <br />goats. The site. already has ansxisGng 4arn that was previously used for housing farm animals.
