penalty. The Contractor shall report to the City any instances of suspected <br />.scavenging or unauthorized removal of recyclable materials from any Collection <br />container. <br />1. Route Mana ement:and Customer Service.. The. Contractor .shall provide the City <br />of Gem Lake with an email or phone number that can be used to address <br />customers` complaints and or concerns. <br />J. Procedure for Unacceptable Materials. Materials Outside Cart and Unreachable <br />Carts. If a driver notices unacceptable material in the cart or left outside of the <br />cart,,. an educational tag will be. left for the. resident. The. driver shall record the <br />address and report the. addresses to the Contractor dispatcher, who will notify <br />the City of the addresses no late•than.noon the. following day. <br />K. Clean up Responsibilities. The.Contractor shall adequately clean up any <br />.recyclable material spilled or blown during the course of collection and/or <br />hauling operations._ All. collection vehicles shall be.equipped with at least one <br />broom and one. shovel to aid in. cleaning up material spillage. Any spills of fluid <br />must also be cleaned up immediately. The Contractor shall have no. <br />responsibility to remove or clean up any items which are not recyclable <br />materials, except that the Contractor must cleanup any. fluid spills associated <br />with the truck. Contractor will not be responsible for material that was blown <br />around prior to curbside .collection. <br />L. Non -Completion of Collection and Extension of Collection Hours. The <br />Contractor shall inform the .City of the areas not completed, the. reason for non - <br />completion, and the expected time of completion. <br />M, Vehicle Re uirements: <br />1) The Contractor must obtain all pertinent licenses from the Federal, .State <br />.and County and City governments. An annualreport/update on licensing; <br />shall be submitted.. The. Contractor shallprovide.proof of current licensing <br />and current MnDOT vehicle inspection reports upon -request by the City, <br />and .on an annual basis. <br />2.) All vehicles must be maintained in proper working condition and available <br />for inspection by the City or County.. The Contractor shall supply the City <br />with copies of annual inspections upon request on all vehicles per MnDOT <br />requirements. <br />3) Recycling vehicles must be designated to. recyclables collection only.
