/. EXTERIOR WORK <br />1, Detrash <br />A. Remove all trash and. debris. from inside the vehicle. <br />B, Vacuum interior to remove loose dirt. Dry brush carpet and <br />upholstery and apply a pre -spotter tastains. <br />2. Clean Wheels <br />A. Spray the wheel cleaner directly on the wheel, and allow it to dwell <br />for one minute. If necessary, scrub the wheel with a wheel brush. <br />Thoroughly pressure rinse the wheel, standing at several angles to <br />ensure all cracks .and crevices are cleaned. <br />B. Spray both the wheel and tire with the. cleaner/degreaser; and allow <br />it to dwell for one minute. Brush the tire with a stiff bristled brush, <br />and pressure rinse both the tire and wheel thoroughly. Applying the <br />alkaline cleaner to the wheel helps neutralize any acid left by the. <br />acid -based wheel cleaner. <br />C. Pressure rinse both the tire and wheel thoroughly with the pressure <br />washer. <br />3. Degrease <br />A. Wet the entire body area around the engine., including glass and <br />body moldings with cool water. This step will prevent alkaline <br />cleaners, or solvent degreasers from spotting the paint. Do not wet <br />the engine as this will reduce the effectiveness of the degreasing. <br />product when it is applied. <br />B.. Spray the engine thoroughly with the cleaneddegreaser, working <br />from the rear to the front. Then spray the cleaner/ degreaser on the <br />inside area of the hood, and on wheel wells; tires, door & trunk <br />jambs and rocker panels. Be. careful not to saturate the firewa11. <br />C, Pressure rinse in reverse order from your application. This allows <br />the product to dwell longest on the engine before being rinsed.. Be <br />sure to rinse the cleaner/degreaser off thoroughly, taking ease not <br />to saturate interior or trunk compartments.. <br />D. Establish a rinsing pattern which ensures. that the..engine is cleaned <br />in a: consistent manner (i.e., start. from the back of the engine and <br />
