7. Remove Surface Contaminants <br />A. Mist the area to be treated with Gloss It± or mild sold6on.of soap <br />and water, and rub the.bar over the areas using light pressure, and. <br />working length -wise with the panel. Periodically knead the-b�ar: in <br />order to keep its surface.clean. <br />B. For best results, keep the vehicle surface flooded with soapy water <br />throughout the process, and make sure. the bar is free of <br />.contaminants prior to starting.. <br />C. Rinse all areas treated, then chamois. the. vehicle. dry. <br />H. PAINTED SURFACE RECONDITIONING <br />1. Dress. Exterior Vinyl & Rubber <br />A: Apply Revive to an applicator sponge and dress the body side <br />moldings, composite bum.pets; fairings, vinyl parts, spoilers, boots, <br />door handles, etc- <br />B. Next, apply the dressing to the tires. by spraying the product on the <br />applicator pad, and. wiping onto the tire. Wipe on in smooth circular <br />strokes, being careful not to g6t dressing: on any other surfaces. <br />2. Remove Scuff Marks <br />A. Remove scuffs frorri*bumper corners and body side moldings by <br />hand -applying a compoundt.. <br />3. Apply Cornpoujnd: <br />A. Ma§K off the wiper blades- and windshield. <br />B. Using high speed buffer, buff the painted -surface with Cutting. Glaze <br />and a foarn. cutting -part. Apply the product to an area no larger <br />than 2' :x Z' and -buff:in a slow side to ;side motion,. keeping the pad. <br />flat oh* the. surface and applying light pressure. Working too quickly <br />will not allow the compound toeffectively remove the paint -defects. <br />Also, buffing with the pad. at an angle increases the number of sWirl <br />marks. <br />C. A -clean pad. is Vital to achieving the best quality. Clean tine pad <br />regularly during use, and set a schedule for pad changes.. <br />
