Contractor Agreemer4tis..entered into this 10 day of March, 24L-9, by and between the City.of Gem.Lake("City"), a political subdivision of the:State- of Minnesota and Raymond J. Tessier,. an1ndependent Contractor ("Contcaato?j of the Countyof Ramsey, State of Minnesota. WHEREAS,. the City -desires to engage a contractor to perform Meter Reading Services within the boundaries.oft e.-City.. WHEREAS, the Contractor has represented that it has the skill and resources to perform the Meter Reading. Services. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and stipulativns-set. forth herein, the receipt and. Adiency of which are hereby acknowledged, the Parties hereto agree as follows: I, ScM of Services. A. The Contractor shall,. on a 4uarterly*basi9, read and record the metefreading of each customer's water meter of the City included in.the assigned meter reading schedule. Said.reading.would take place at the beginning of the quarter for approximately d consecutive days. The readings -taken from the respective meters shall be recorded on.a.handheld.device provided by. the City to the Contractor.. The Contractor must complete all scheduled metefreadings within. the allotted time noted on the meter reading schedule. The Contractor shall notify the. City of any scheduled absences that. may -affect coinpietion of the scheduled-ieasding: B. The Contractor shall record meter readings -only after a physical observatioiils made of the meter. Estimated readings will -not be acceptable. If the: Contractor is unable to physically observe a meter, contractor must ;reportIt.to *pApity and an appointment will be made by the City to secure a read. 11. Payment. The Contractor shall: be paid hourly $15.00 after read accurately per quarter, which shall be paid after allJtgWfed readings are submitted. I.11. Phy is eft. Yit for Working Conditions. The Contractor shall represent they are.fit. for working conditions such as time spent outdoors to read meters:involve-continuous.walking, exposure to temperature extremes and adverse weather conditions.
