A. There -shall be no time of the -day required to perform the duties hereilfdefined,. <br />except. the .Contractor shall respect the rights of the customers and shall endeavor <br />to make1he readings required by the terms of the agreement between the.hours of <br />8:00 a.m. and 5:00. p.m. (winter hours) and 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p:m: (9uuuner <br />hours). on any day except holidays, Saturdays and Sundays. Holidays. include Tlew <br />Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and <br />Christmas Day. <br />B. The .Contractor "be -not-be required to -wear aby specific uniform, but shell be <br />properly attired and identified Vdth aname badge and photo ID :provided by the <br />City. The name badge shall indicate dud.he or she is an independent Contractor <br />for -the City. <br />C.. The Contractor shall perform with minimal supervision by the: City.. <br />D. The Contractor shall not be provided with any equipment other than. the.reading <br />device by the City. <br />E. The contractor. must have a valid Minnesota's Driver's license at all times. <br />F. The Contractor shall be required to furnish at their own expense; such vehicles, <br />fuel, tools and other supplies as necessary to allow the Contractor to:zomplete the <br />tasks as indicated is meter reading, <br />V. Coact Insurance. <br />The Contractor shall maintain in full. force and -effective certificate of insurance <br />and/or workers compensation insurance and vehicle insurance in the amount of. <br />$100,000/$3.0.0,000 and $10.0,000 property damage and-Inaintain a theft bond in.the <br />amount of not less than $25,000 and s) iaU. furnish to the. City certificate& of such <br />insurance naming the City as additional insured. Any damage. to a customer's <br />property must be -reported to the City- immediately. <br />VI. Safety. <br />A, To permit. the City to ensure the safety and. well being .of their customers, the <br />Contractor shall furnish -the City with.releases to permitthe City to conduct a <br />background check which discloses all criminal history record information.. The <br />City may also be permitted to check Contractor's business: references. <br />B. The Contmetor must comply with the City drug free workplace and.smoking <br />.policies.. Contractor is prohibited from consuming alcohol during working hours <br />and, shall not be allowed to smoke on customer's premises. Contractor shall be <br />professional and courteous when working with customers. <br />2 <br />
