-� CITY OF GEM LAKE, MN <br />4200 Otter Lake Road <br />Gem Lake, MN 55110-3227 <br />Telephone 651-747-2790 <br />E-mail City(d).gemlakeMN.or <br />Minutes of Gem Lake City Council Meeting <br />16 April 2013 <br />The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Gem Lake was called to order by <br />Mayor Uzpen on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 7:01 pm in the Gem Lake City Hall meeting <br />room. <br />The following members were present: Mayor Robert Uzpen. Councilmembers James <br />Lindner, Gretchen Artig-Swomley, and Faith Kuny. Councilmember Richard Bosak was <br />absent. Members of the public attending per the sign in sheet sent around the room. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND MEETING MINUTES <br />City Council Agenda: Mayor Uzpen called for additions, deletions and corrections to <br />the agenda. Upon motion by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Lindner, the April 16, 2013 agenda was approved. Ayes — 4, <br />Nays — 0. <br />City Council March Meeting Minutes: The March 2013 minutes were presented and <br />corrections were needed. Upon motion by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, and <br />seconded by Councilmember Lindner, the March City Council minutes were accepted. <br />Ayes — 3, Nays — 0, Abstain- 1. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Newsletter: Councilmember Artig-Swomley stated some of the topics are: <br />• Regarding the Gem Lake Scholarship <br />• The property statements <br />• White Bear Fire Academy <br />• Watershed — East Metro water issue <br />• National Night Out for August — Usually done on the Tuesday of the <br />Planning Commission meeting. The last few years have been a low <br />turnout from the residents. The City Council will review. <br />• May Issue — Maple syrup <br />• Gem Lake Clean Up — Not much interest has been shown from the <br />residents in the past five years. Most of the Gem Lake residents clean up <br />their own properties. <br />
