CITY OF GEM LAKE, MN <br />4200 Otter Lake Road <br />k <br />Gem Lake, Minnesota 55110 <br />RESOLUTION NO.2013-07 <br />20 AUGUST 2013 <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE PRELIMINARY AMOUNT TO BE RAISED BY <br />PROPERTY TAXATION FOR THE YEAR 2014 <br />WHEREAS, the City Treasurer has presented a (Proposed) General Fund Budget of $343,336.00 <br />which includes a (Proposed) General Tax Levy of $289,439.00, a tax levy of $60,000 for 2014 <br />Bonds and a Debt Tax Levy of $50,100.00 for fiscal and calendar year 2014 based upon best <br />estimates of costs for running the City of Gem Lake in 2014; and <br />WHEREAS, these estimates were reviewed by the City Council on 12 August, 2013 and amended <br />based upon best information received from outside contractors and input from the City Council, and <br />revised by the City Council on 20 August, 2013; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council did review the (Proposed) Budget and Tax Debt for 2014, including <br />all revisions thereto as of the date first written. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Gem Lake does <br />formally adopt the 2014 Preliminary General Fund Budget of $343,336.00 which includes a <br />Preliminary General Tax Levy of $289,439.00, a tax levy of $60,000 for 2014 Bonds and a <br />Preliminary Debt Levy of $50,100.00 for 2014 as prepared by the City Treasurer and amended by <br />the City Council; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is charged with Certifying said Tax and Debt <br />Levy to Ramsey County Property Taxation and other government bodies for whom this information <br />is required. <br />The foregoing Resolution was offered by Councilor and was supported by <br />Councilor and was declared adopted based upon the following vote: <br />NAME <br />UZPEN <br />BOSAK <br />LINDNER <br />KUNY <br />ARTIG- <br />SWOMLEY <br />Vote <br />Attest <br />I, WILLIAM F.
