Gem Lake Planning Commission Minutes
Conditional Use Permit is granted to relocate and refurbish the exterior of the
existing pole barn since it exceeds 1,000 square feet. Sufficiently refurbish
exterior of existing pole barn to like new condition. If that is not feasible, the
complete structure is removed from the site. Upon motion by Commissioner
Wippich and seconded by Commissioner Pratt. Ayes — 4, Nays — 0.
Item Three: Conditional Use Permit to install a chain link fence on the property.
Discussion followed and Mr. Whitaker clarified that there will only be chain link
fencing in the back where a similar fence exists now. The remainder of the lot
would be bordered with a two or three foot high stranded metal cable fence, so
there would be no new chain link fence thus this CUP was not needed. No
motion was made and discussion ended.
The Planning Commission will forward two recommendations for Conditional Use
Permits to the City Council for approval.
ADJOURN:
Upon motion by Commissioner Herzog, and seconded by Commissioner Pratt
the October 1, 2013 regular meeting of the Planning Commission was adjourned
at 8:56 p.m. Ayes — 4, Nays — 0.
APPROVED:
ATTEST:
Julie Newkirk
Recording Secretary
ATTEST:
James Lindner
Acting Chairperson
Look for us on the World Wide Web at gemlakemn.org
