The following members were present: Chairperson Faith Kuny, and Planning Commissioners Arthur Pratt and Derek Wippich and Beth Herzog. Commissioner Dan Marier and were not in attendance. Planning Commission August Agenda: Chairperson Kuny asked for any changes, deletions, or added agenda items. None was given and upon motion by Commissioner Pratt and seconded by Commissioner Wippich; the August 7, 2012 agenda was approved. Ayes — 4, Nays — 0. June Planning Commission Minutes: The June Planning Commission minutes were reviewed and upon motion by Commissioner Herzog and seconded by Commissioner Wippich, the June Planning Commission minutes were approved. Ayes — 4, Nays — 0. OLD BUSINESS Chairperson Faith Kuny has not heard from the hockey arena project. The developer came to the City Council Workshop and discussed some of the changes they had made to their plan. Their next step was working on the wetlands and would have another meeting with the residents around that area. At this point, no meeting has been scheduled for the residents. The Planning Commission started working on the Comp Plan, starting with Ordinance No. 43K, replacing sections five through eight. It was decided to keep the old titles with new definitions instead of using ES which is confusing. There was discussion on the wordage of the plot of land. It states you can grow produce for resale naming it truck gardening for a three to five acre lot, but you would need to re -zone for a larger lot. You need a permit for truck gardening. The Planning Commission feels small or large acreage lots should be across the board and not have to re -zone a larger lot.
