CITY OF GEM LAKE, MN <br />4707 Hwy 61 # 253 <br />White Bear Lake, MN 55110-3227 <br />E-mail CityngemlakeMN.or<� <br />Telephone 651-747-2790 <br />Resolution 2007-10 <br />Resolution appointing a Responsible Authority for the City for purposes of <br />administering the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, section 13.02, Subdivision 16, as amended, <br />requires that the City of Gem Lake appoint a Responsible Authority to administer the <br />requirements for collection, storage, use and dissemination of data on individuals, within <br />the City; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Gem Lake City Council shares concern expressed by the <br />legislature on the responsible use of all City data and wishes to satisfy this concern by <br />immediately appointing an administratively qualified Responsible Authority as required <br />under the statute; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor, Paul Emeott, is the person currently serving the City with <br />the best personal knowledge of Gem Lake's records who is also available to the citizens <br />of the City during regular business hours. <br />BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of Gem Lake appoints Paul Emeott as the <br />Responsible Authority for the purposes of meeting all requirements of Minnesota <br />Statutes, chapter 13, as amended, and with rules as lawfully promulgated by the <br />Commissioner of Administration as published in the State Register on August 31, 1981. <br />Motion made by <br />Seconded <br />Adopted by the Council on <br />City Clerk <br />Mayor <br />Look for us on the World Wide Web at gemlakemn.org <br />
