CITY OF GEM LAKE <br />RESOLUTION NO.2003-IO <br />f 5 December 2003. <br />A RESOLUTION EMPOWERING THE GEM LAKE CITY CLERK TO MAKE <br />APPLICATION TO RAMSCY COiJNTY FOR PARTICIPATION ..IN FUNDING <br />MADE.. AVAILABLE AS. HEREINAFTEIR KNOWN AS `$SCORE GRANT". <br />WHEREAS, *THE City of Gem :Lake-currelitly operates a Municipal Curbside Recycling. Program for all single <br />Itimily residences within the City;:and <br />Wf1EREAS; the-City.Council.realizes. that increased public awareness, education and participation in this program <br />is in. rite best interests ofall citizens and wishes to expand the current program within .the administrative guidelines <br />established for current C.ity.statl'; and. <br />WHEREAS, the Division of Solid Waste of the St. Paul -Ramsey County Department of Public: Health has made <br />certain funds.available for qualified recycling programs within Ramsey County. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Gem Lake hereby empowers the <br />City C:Ierk to apply annually for any and all Score funding or other such grants as may be made available from`time <br />to Cage icy other agencies for the sole purpose of expanding resident participations in the Gem Lake Municipal <br />Recycling Program., and <br />13f IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said .funds shall be used in Such a manner as recommended by the City's <br />Recycling Cootdiiiator as approved by the City Council. <br />The foregoing Resolution was offered by Council Member Igo and was. supported by Council Member Watson <br />And was:J&lared adopted based upon :tire following vote. - <br />NAME. <br />tMEOT'T <br />"WA'C'SONJ <br />:BIR.KEBAK <br />; 'IGd <br />BQ.SAIC: :: <br />VOTE. <br />Aye <br />Aye <br />Aye. <br />Aye <br />Aye <br />ATTEST <br />1, Fti~deric C.
