VLAWWMO was organized 4v f 983 to be, the. responsible government unit tQ provide Oversight and <br />11i,Liiim-iement-to seethat.the regtiit ements of:the Metropolitan Water Management Act -were enforced in the Vadnais I:ake <br />u ate�:slted area: and <br />W49R.EAS; VLA-WM0 over the years has met the requiremenis.of the Metropolitan Water Managgement Act -'and <br />WHEREAS, tlye member communities of VLAWMO have enjoyed Iocal*cbhVdl•via appointment of a rcinsentittive <br />to represent theit•*community on the VLAWMG-Soard; and <br />WHEREAS,. the City. of Gem Lake acknowledges. that there are areas of VLAWMO'.s authority that need to be <br />iniprok,ed:and is willing to increase.aanual contributions to V1,AWM0, it is fekthat:the most efficienuneaM to deliver• <br />water management _serv.ices at this: time is. through a water management organization;. now; therefore, be. it <br />REN01,VFD. that the City .Cocmcil :of.the City of Gem Lake recommends that the Joint Povvers Agreement between <br />the tommunities be extended for a period of one ( 1)..year, until 01 January 2007, and, be it <br />kjRTHb1 RESOLV-E% that work on updating the.
