EMBER 2005 <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE REt:'OMMENDATIQN OF THE G'EM <br />LAKE PI:ANNING COMfA'iS.SION AND ORDERING THE ADOPTION Of <br />PLANNING: COMMISSION l�ECU.M'MENDATIUNS TO REPEAL <br />ORDINANCE NO. 12 AND ENI ACT (PROPOSED) ORDINANCE NO. Gel, <br />DRAFT "K" AS GEM LAKE ORDINANCE NO.-69.. <br />WHIERE.AS,. the Gem 1:ake Plithnink Commission :has considered the need to update the dty's :Animal* Control. <br />Ordinance originally adopted on 27 January 190 in order to insurepublic safety, and <br />WHEREAS,.the Gem Lake Animal Control and Code Enforcement officers have -indicated a need to update these: <br />ordinances Co address.circumstances which, itt the future, could adversely impacf public safety;. and <br />WHEREAS, the .seven cities tvlto contract with -the Ramsey County .Sheriff havee beoti .provided inforinaliott that <br />supports the need for stricter iocal animal controls-. -and <br />WHEREAS. the City Clerk has provided substantial background to. the Planning Commission for corisideration of <br />ri visions to the Animal Control Ordinance; and <br />'WHEREAS, the Planning'Conimission has .held sevetal*public hearings on -the matter with no adverse fndings oz- <br />ri tpresentations f.rorir.residents; now, therefore, be it <br />RESOLVED. that.the City Council of the City of Gem Lake does Itcrebyaccept the recommendations ot.the Planning <br />C unvnirs ,ion and orders the repeal of Ordinance No. 12 and the.enactrirent of (Proposed).Ordinance .No. 69, Draft K as <br />crcm Lake .0rdinarice No. 69, said ordinante..to take full force and effect upon* summary publication in the White Hear <br />1'ress, and, be it <br />FLIRTHr,.R RESOLVED. -that the:Ciiy.Counci.l of the .City of Gem Lake lrharges the City!
