I authorises the adoption of a zoning Ordinance or amendments tholeto independent of the foregoing authorization; and WHEREAS, aZoning Ordinance is an official control within the meaning oi:lvlinnesota Statutes §473.852, Subd. 9; and. WHEREAS;.On,05. June 2006 the Gem Lake Planning Commission held.a duly noticed.pubiic hearing: to review and tp receive all. public ddrriinent, written and verbal, regagtng'he proposed changes to the City of Getn Lake Zoning ,.Ordinance; and WHEREAS. the -City Council adopted the 1997•Compreltensive Municipal.i'lan on 21 July 1997 by means•ofResolution No, 1997-1 l;.atid WHER1 AS, Resolution No. 1497-1 I -further charged the Gem -Lake Planning Commission.to recommend amendments. to current local controls and to develop of such additional: Igcat controls as may be necessary to• i6plerhent tiie 1997 Comprehensive Municipal Plan; and 1'YHCItIiA;S; the Gem lake Planning Commission did on 45 luiie:2U06•vote.3. Aye; 0laiay,.2 Absent to present the proposed amendments to the.Gem Lake Ci y Council foradoption as Ordinance: No: 43•H; now; therefore, be it IZESOLV I:D, that the City Counicil of the ,.Cjty of Gem i;ake hereby adopts the fol lowing findings of fact: 1) the proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance as recommended by the Gem: Lake PIanning Commission promote the public heaith, safety, morals, and general welfare and promotes the use of land within the City.:of Gem Lake to conserve shoretands and otherwise accomplish: the purposes authorize by •Minnesota. Statutes §462.357, Subd. 1; And 3) the proposed amended Zoning (ordinance No.43•H is 0h9isteritwith the 1997 Comprehensive -Municipal Plan. and, be it FUItTHER RESOLVED, that based upon the: foregoing Findings of Pact.and.all proceedings and information in the tiles ofthe City. relatino.thcreto: I.) Zoning Ordinance No. 43H i's hereby adopted in it entirety; and Zoning.District.Map shall be updated to reflect all changes contained in Ordinance No. 431-1 and is.iia.reby adopted as the official Zoning District Map of the City of Gem Lake; and 3) The summary ofOrdinance.No. 43H attached hereto as Exhibit:"A" shall be published in the White Bear Press in lieu of the fttll text of Ordinance No. 43H.
