YOU SHOULD HAVE PREPARED RESPONSES TO THE <br />COMMENTS FROM THE MET COUNCIL AT THAT TIME. <br />HAS THE PLAN BEEN SUBMITTED TO THE NEIGHBORING COMMUNITIES? <br />REVISIONS TO THE AUGUST DRAFT: <br />p.24, line 2: replace "are offered" with "shall be as follows:" <br />p.29, 5.3.5.B: "Limited" should read "Low" <br />p.33, 6.1.6: paragraph one, insert a third sentence "In addition, a <br />private, small -aircraft airport is located in White Bear Township, <br />approximately 5 miles north of Gem Lake. <br />p.34, 6.2.1: revise as follows: <br />Another potential change in the Gem Lake roadway system may <br />involve Scheuneman Road at the intersection of U.S. Highway 61. <br />In all instances, the citizens of Gem Lake have a high interest <br />that changes be designed and constructed in a manner which <br />enhances the attractive environmentally natural residential nature <br />of the City of Gem Lake. <br />p.37, 6.3: delete paragraph B. <br />p.38, D: revise as follows: <br />Further development of private roads is consistent with the City's <br />desire to maintain a low profile government. The City should <br />oversee the development of private roads to ensure that city <br />construction and design standards and specifications are met. <br />p.38, H: replace "small town" with "rustic" <br />p.39, L: revise as follows: <br />The City should explore all possible options to substantially <br />reduce the traffic on Scheuneman Road north of U.S Highway 61. <br />Options include a cul-de-sac dead-end at the intersection with <br />Highway 61, or designating Scheuneman Road one-way northbound. <br />
