MINNESOTA 55110 <br />(612) 429-9288. <br />FAX 429-5034 <br />GEM LAKE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />THURSDAY,SEPTEMBER 15, 1994 <br />7:3.0 PM <br />TOUSLEY FORD CONFERENCE ROOM <br />This will be a brief meeting to review the landscaping plan <br />for Tousley Ford's addition (pole barn, being renovated to <br />accomodate an expanded parts department). <br />I would encourage each of you to visit the site. The <br />history of this building is a tender subject and our primary <br />objective in the landscaping is to break up the mass of <br />steel presented to County Road E. When we last visited this <br />subject, Tousley was uncertain of the building's use, and <br />asked that we postpone the landscape plan until that use was <br />decided. Indeed, they have altered their plans somewhat, <br />and the proposed use is more retail in nature. The interior <br />of the building is being substantially redesigned, for which <br />building permits are being held pending our satisfaction on <br />the landscaping issue. Theme will be two entrances, one <br />retail and one wholesale, requiring handicap access; other <br />than that, the exterior of the building will not be changed <br />significantly. There will be some signage required, and Jim <br />Arend will have inventoried the property for that purpose. <br />Chief Forester Leider and.I will have negotiated an arrange- <br />ment with Tousley prior to the meeting (we hope!). <br />Please let ripe know if you are not able to attend. I am <br />depending upon Marcia and Pam for a quorum, as Rod is out of <br />town and Lloyd is uncertain.
