Sheriff Contract Group Minutes. <br />July 21, 1994 <br />approved, then a commitment from the Group would be necessary. <br />Short moved to request the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department to <br />prepare a pre -application for a grant to fund the start-up and <br />equipment costs for a temporary / full-time CSO Program for <br />19.95. Urban seconded., Ayes all <br />MINNESOTA COUNTIES INSURANCE TRUST THREE-YEAR ISSUE <br />Schwerm explained that Shoreview's City Attorney has expressed <br />concern with regard to the proposed amendment to the Law <br />Enforcement Service Contract, in that it would expose the City to. <br />joint and several liability and would seem to automatically <br />extend the Law Enforcement Service Contract for a three-year <br />term. He has proposed language to satisfy this concern. Georgie <br />Schulte, Ramsey County Risk Management, stated that she has <br />presented the language to the County Attorney. It is tentatively <br />scheduled for County Board Finance Committee review on August <br />9th. She will fax each Community theamendment when available. <br />Everyone was urged to process the amendment. as soon as <br />possible. <br />1995 BUDGET <br />The Traffic Car Summary Report shows that the Group is getting <br />less revenue than originally projected ($28.000 collected totally <br />- traffic deputy cost approx. $70,000). The Group discussed <br />the traffic deputy's hours and felt they would like to see him <br />service both the am / pan rush hours. The consensus of the Group <br />was to retain the Traffic Deputy for one additional year. <br />It was noted that the proposed budget did not reflect the <br />insurance savings. Dornbusch will make the revisions and mail to <br />each community. <br />Urban moved. to recommend adoption of the 1995 .budget with the <br />insurance adjustments, and the addition ❑f one patrol deputy•as <br />previously agreed upon. Short seconded. Ayes .all. <br />FORMAL CONTRACT DOCUMENT <br />Bergeron asked the Group if the current document was <br />if they wished t❑ make revisions. A longer term (3 <br />year) was discussed.
