CITY OF GEM LAKE NPDES - MS4 SWPPP BMP DESCRIPTION SHEET I A. Unique Identification Number: 1-01-R B. Name or Type of BMP: City Storm Water Education Program C. BMP Description: The City's education program consists of the activities listed in BMP's 1-02-R to 1-04-R, 2-01-R, 3-01-R, 4-01-R, 5-01-R and 6-01-R as described in the BMP summary Sheets attached to the City's Permit No. 0400000 (Noticed as MN R580000). D. Minimum Control Measure Addressed: Public Education & Outreach 1. Establish methods to track and record efforts of a public outreach program for each of the six minimum control measures. 2. Create and maintain a City managed website. E. Describe the measurable that will be used to determine success or benefits of this BMP: 1. Completion of electronic business inventory by property owner, tenant, and business description data base. 2. Completion of electronic residential property owner data base for delivery of survey and educational materials. F. Describe the timeline or implementation schedule for this BMP: 1. 2003. a. Business inventory was completed in September, 2003 and will be converted to NPDES Data Base by 01 April 2004. b. Residential inventory update has been ordered from Ramsey County. Upon receipt it will be converted to General Information Data Base and then to NPDES Data Base by 01 May 2004. C. Website design to begin in June, 2004 following selection of designer and content discussion. Summary of measurable goal attainment: 1. 2003 a. In September, 2002 an electronic business inventory was completed and is in the process of being converted to a usable NPDES format. b. In February, 2003 an updated electronic data base of all property owners in the City was ordered from Ramsey County Property Records to insure current accuracy. C. In September, 2003 the existing electronic database of all property owners in the City was formatted to include information important to NPDES and infrastructure development. d. Candidates for web site development interviewed in October, 2003 and the selection process is pending. Selection process should be complete by June, 2004. 2. 2004 a. Tracking is established via this report having been established as an electronic copy of all activity. b. Website was postponed due to budget and time constraints. Further work will be completed in 2005.
