CITY OF GEM LAKE RESOLUTION NO.2006-09 20 March 2006 A RESOLUTION ADOPTING AMENDMENTS TO ORDINANCE NO. 43F, THE ZONING ORDINANCE, LAST AMENDED 15 DECEMBER 2003 WITH SAID AMENDMENTS TO INCLUDE: 1) DELETION OF SECTION 18 IN IT'S ENTIRETY; AND 2) ADDITION OF NEW SECTION 18 AS DEVELOPED BY THE GEM LAKE PLANNING COMMISSION AND ZONING ADMINISTRATORS, REVIEWED AT MULTIPLE PUBLIC HEARINGS BEFORE THE PLANNING COMMISSION DURING 2004 AND 2005, AND RECOMMENDED FOR ADOPTION IN AUGUST, 2005 BY THE GEM LAKE PLANNING COMMISSION. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Gem Lake did, in 2004, charge the Gem Lake Planning Commission with the responsibility of recommending amendments to Ordinance No. 43F, the Zoning Ordinance, that would cause said local control to be representative of the commitments made in the Gem Lake Comprehensive Municipal Plan; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission brought forth recommendations to the City Council in August, 2005 which, while deemed incomplete in other proposed amendment areas and in need of further study, included complete text for amendment of Section 18 in it's entirety; and WHEREAS, the Chairman of the Gem Lake Planning Commission concurs as of this day that the recommendations for amendments proposed for Section 18, Ordinance No. 43F have been made in accordance with the recommendations of the Planning Commission; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Gem Lake hereby accepts the proposed recommendation for amendment of Gem Lake Ordinance No. 43F, Section 18 by deleting the entire section as shown in Ordinance No. 43F, adding the new language as attached hereto as Section 18, identifying the revised ordinance as Ordinance 43G, and ordering enactment of said revised Ordinance No. 43G upon publication in the City's official newspaper; and FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is hereby ordered to publish notice ofthis adoption in summary form and that Ordinance No. 43G shall be placed in full force and effect on the date of such publication.
