The concentration of <br />open spaces which separates more urbanized <br />areas from less dense residential and natural- <br />ized areas. 'Phis open space has no required <br />features but may contain environmental pre- <br />serves, paths and trails, and open shelters, all <br />n aturalis tic ally disposed. <br />B. PreseivedTree Line. Are a usedtopreserve <br />tree lines indicated on the Cib/s Existing <br />Land Us e Plan or areas with pre-existing tree <br />screening of 50% opacity or greater. <br />C. Green/Small Park. An open space available <br />for recreation and neighborhood gathering. <br />Area may be unimproved or used for play- <br />ground, community garden, pergola, picnic <br />areas, or similar park activities. The civic <br />space is definedby at least one through street <br />and should be accessible via sidewalk or path. <br />A larger open area available for recreation, which <br />may include facilities forstructured activities such <br />as athletic fields or courts (limited to 40% of <br />n` space).
