CITY OF GEM LAKE RESOLUTION NO.2006-40 13 NOVEMBER 2006 A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE ASSESSMENT ROLE AS PREPARED BY THE CITY CLERK FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 2006-01 AND ORDERING SAME FORWARDED TO RAMSEY COUNTY FOR ASSESSMENT AGAINST ALL REAL PROPERTY BENEFITTED AND FOR COLLECTION COMMENCING WITH PROPERTY TAXES PAYABLE IN 2007. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Gem Lake did duly order Public Improvement No 2006-01 which included the patching and overlay of ig Fox Road, Little Fox Lane, and Haven Lane and the patching and seal coating of Tessier Road; and WHEREAS, said work has been completed in accordance with the contract for the work as certified by the City Engineer; and WHEREAS, the final costs for Big Fox Road and Little Fox Lane have been determined to be $175,523.06 for the roadway reconstruction portion of the project with 19 benefitted property units for an assessment of $9,238.06 per benefitted property unit as assessment #37070610 (a/k/a 2006BigFoxLittleFoxRoadImprovements); and WHEREAS, the final costs for Haven Lane have been determined to be $48,409.48 for the roadway reconstruction portion of the project with 7 benefitted property units for an assessment of $6,915.64 per benefitted property unit as assessment #37070611 (a/k/a 2006HavenRoadlmprovements); and WHEREAS, the final costs for Tessier Road have been determined to be $19,508.30 for the roadway reconstruction portion of the project with 7 benefitted property units for an assessment of $2,786.90 per benefitted property unit as assessment #37070612 (a/k/a 2006TessierRoadImprovements); and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Gem Lake has held a duly noticed public hearing for the purpose of presenting the final costs and assessments to the benefitted parties and receiving the public's input regarding the project; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Gem Lake does hereby order the City Clerk to certify the assessments herein described to Ramsey County Property Records and Revenue for assessment against real property as shown and for collection commencing with taxes payable in the year 2007; and, be it FURTHER RESOLVED that the term of the assessment shall be ten (10) years and the rate of interest for the assessment shall be set at five (5.9%) percent with said interest calculated by Ramsey County Property Records and Revenue as simple interest on the unpaid balance of the assessment as of November 15 annually.
