CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Gretchen Artig-Swomley called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />II. CALL OF ROLL <br />Mayor Gretchen Artig-Swomley, Councilmembers Len Cacioppo, Ben Johnson, Jim Lindner, and <br />Joshua Patrick were present. Also present: City Attorney Martin Norder, City Engineer Justin <br />Gese, City Treasurer Tom Kelly, and City Clerk Barb Suciu. <br /> <br />III. APPROVE OF AGENDA AND MINUTES <br />A. Approve the Revised Agenda for June 16, 2026, City Council meeting. <br />A motion was introduced by Councilmember Lindner to accept the May 19, 2026, agenda, <br />seconded by Councilmember Cacioppo. Motion carried 5-0. <br />B. Approve the Minutes of May 19, 2026, City Council meeting. <br />A motion was introduced by Councilmember Lindner, seconded by Councilmember Cacioppo to <br />approve May 19, 2026, City Council Meeting minutes. Motion carried 5-0. <br />IV. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS/PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />None. <br />V. CONSENT AGENDA <br />A. Monthly Financial Report(s) <br />B. Claims <br />A motion was introduced by Councilmember Lindner, seconded by Councilmember Cacioppo to <br />approve the Consent Agenda. Motion carried 5-0. <br />VI. PLANNING COMMISSION REPORTS <br />None. <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br />A. Newsletter Updates/Topics/Suggestions <br />Mayor Artig-Swomley stated the newsletter is almost ready and asked for any revisions to be sent <br />to the office so it can be finalized. The next newsletter will include articles regarding the <br />scholarship recipients, televising sewer project, General Election voting information, Bruce Vento <br />Trail update, and VLAMWO article. <br />B. Resolution 2026-14; Resolution Approving the Agreement for the 2050 Comprehensive Plan <br />Mayor Artig-Swomley stated this was tabled from the May meeting to obtain a proposal from <br />SEH, Inc. for the chapters the engineer is required to complete. These include transportation and <br />water resources, which include wastewater, water supply and surface water management. In <br />reviewing the proposal from TKDA’s there’s a section titled Additional Services which is not <br />included in the proposed costs. The mayor indicated she would feel more comfortable having a <br />consultant preparing the entire plan.
