CITY OF GEM LAKE <br />4707 Hwy 61 #253 <br />White Bear Lake, MN 55110-3227 <br />Yazd' &nag sifarytm <br />Minutes of Gem Lake City Council Meeting <br />17June2008 <br />The regularmeeting of the City Council of the City of Gem Lake was called to order by Mayor Emeott on <br />Tuesday, June .17, 2008 at 7:05 pm in the Gem lake City Hall meeting room. Mayor Emeott, Councilors Rasmussen, <br />Artier Swomley, Watson and Shilling were present.. Also present was City Attorney Trevor Oliver. Other members of <br />the publicwere also in attendance per the signin sheet sent around the room. <br />APPROVAL OFAGENDA AND. MEETING MINUTES <br />Minutes of City Council meeting of April 2008: Minutes from the Apri12008 City. Council meeting were <br />reviewed by Council members. Motion was made and seconded to approve the April 2008 City. Council meeting <br />minutes after correction are made regarding the special meetings was unanimously approved by voice vote. <br />City Council Agenda for this meeting: Mayor Emeott called for additions, deletions and corrections to the <br />agenda. No changes to be made to the agenda. Motion was made and seconded to approve agenda. <br />PUBLIC NOTICES <br />None <br />PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR <br />Neighborhood Watch: A presentation wasmade by Deputy Eastmanfrom the Ramsey County Sheriff's <br />department about organization of a neighborhood watch. <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Planning Commission. May and June meeting report (Jim Lindner): Jim Lindner was not present. Report <br />was. reviewed by the City Council. Motion was made and seconded toapprove the May and June meeting reports <br />with correction of meeting date. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />A) City MS4 Report for 2006. (Watson):. See New Business, .F). <br />B) City Newsletter (Artig-Swomley): Councilor. Artig-Swomley reported topics for newsletter. Possibly article <br />topics include: Jim Lindner, Neighborhood watch, National night out, Inspection of Septic Systems, and Gem Lake's <br />history as an equestrian community. Join us at the Neighborhood Night. Out at the Gem Lake City. I-Iall on August 511'. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />A) Approval of payment. of claims for May -June 2008: Mayor Emeott referred the Council to the listing.of <br />payments•requiring approval. The..claims list is shorter than normal as•a special meeting was•called to`pay bills in <br />early.June due.to the cancellation of the.May City Council meeting..Payinent of claims for time period above was. <br />unanimously approved as indicated by Councilor's signatures. on.this document. <br />Look for us on the.
