CITY OF GEM LAKE, MN 4200 Otter Lake Road Gem Lake, MN 55110-3227 Telephone 651-747-2790 E-mail Citv(.gemlakeMN.org Minutes of Gem Lake City Council Meeting 19 October 2009 The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Gem Lake was called to order by Mayor Uzpen on Monday, October 19, 2009 at 7:00 pm in the Gem. Lake City Hall meeting room. The following members were present: Mayor Robert Uzpen, Councilmembers Gretchen Artig-Swomley, Thomas Rasmussen and James Lindner. Councilmember Charles Watson was absent from the meeting. Other members of the public were also in attendance per the sign in sheet sent around the room. APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND MEETING MINUTES City Council Agenda: Mayor Uzpen called for additions, deletions and corrections to the agenda. No corrections or additions were added. Upon motion by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, and seconded by Councilmember Lindner, the agenda was approved for October 19, 2009. City Council Meeting Minutes: The September 15, 2009 minutes were presented and corrections were needed. Upon motion by Councilmember Artig- Swornley, and seconded by Councilmember Rasmussen, the minutes of September 15, 2009 were accepted with corrections being made. Ayes — 4, Nays-0. Planning Commission Minutes: The September 1, 2009 minutes were presented and corrections were needed. Upon motion by Councilmember Artig- Swomley and seconded by Councilmember Lindner, the September 1, 2009 minutes were accepted with corrections being made. Ayes - 4, Nays — 0. OLD BUSINESS City Newsletter — November, 2009: The Council discussed ideas for the November newsletter. Suggestions were made including the date for the Public Hearing on the Budget. In addition, the water testing program, and also fall leaf disposal and tree trimming. Also suggested was a story on a resident of Gem Lake, who races pigeons as his hobby.
